Under Articles 84–92 of the Customs Law No. 4458 and the Common Transit Convention (Ortak Transit Sözleşmesi) linking Turkey with the European Union, EFTA states, the UK, and North Macedonia, commercial goods in transit may move across customs territories without being subject to customs duties, VAT, or trade policy commercial measures, under customs seal.
Operating transit requires extensive financial security.
